Dried Basil

This easy and flavorful chicken dish is perfect for a quick dinner, infused with the aromatic taste of dried basil and a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients:

• 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 3 tbsp unsalted butter
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp dried basil
• ½ tsp dried oregano (optional)
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)

Instructions:

• Season the Chicken – Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, dried basil, and oregano.
• Sear the Chicken – Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
• Make the Garlic Butter Sauce – In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
• Combine & Finish – Stir in lemon juice and cherry tomatoes (if using). Return chicken to the pan and spoon the sauce over it. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
• Serve & Enjoy – Serve warm with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables.

Farmer Tip: For extra flavor, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top before serving!
